If I thought it could make the 1000 mile journey home I would be a buyer. Why did you install an external water temperature gauge? It's a perfect candidate for a fun engine swap. ackpht09-21-2019, 11:03 AMLooks like quite the clean MR2. (I'm sure there is a story behind the Hello Kitty (?) rear window decal.) It runs but I wouldn't trust it to go 1000 miles in the condition it's in. Better to trailer it. I'm hoping someone will want it for a swap rather than just parting it out.

PO put the temp gauge in because the factory gauge is squirrely. If you click on the Flickr photos there are captions with more info.

dp ackpht09-26-2019, 07:06 PMPrice reduced to $1200. Goes to the crusher on Tuesday 10/1. ackpht09-28-2019, 08:24 PMFar less interest than I imagined there would be. C'est la vie. sirdeuce10-07-2019, 07:29 PMJust not the right time of year. Spring time would be better. Maybe a while after the holidays. That kinda timing works in my favor 'cause I get to thinking of selling mine around this time of year and when spring time gets here I want to drive it.
But, all the cars I've sold in the past were late winter/spring time sales. Just something about that time of year. ackpht10-07-2019, 08:31 PMYou might be right. In this case, my insurance premium for that car was coming due in October, it was eligible for the smog buyback program, and I was just tired of putting money into it. Like you said, timing. sirdeuce10-07-2019, 10:19 PMTiming is always bad if it's in your court. rsca_crx05-07-2020, 11:45 PMPrice reduced to $1200. Goes to the crusher on Tuesday 10/1.

Is this car still available? Thanks Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
