Rodeo Jones10-30-2015, 05:31 PMI swear these are so hard to find. My car was built in May. I need a rear right lower BJ. Anybody? I'm in the Portland area.

p.s. If anyone can elaborate on when/why/what the build designation is for I'd appreciate it. 2fas2c11-04-2015, 12:12 AMthere's no difference ball joint is compatible 85-89 Catmando11-04-2015, 11:49 PMGood evening Tyler Tony down here in Ontario any idea what the part number on the rear ball joint should be I just picked up a set of Moog K9352 and the mounting bolts are a bigger size Picaro11-12-2015, 08:18 PMYes, the mounting bolts/nuts are larger for the MKIb balljoints, but you can simply use the original thinner/smaller MKIa bolts/nuts with the MKIb balljoints on a MKIa car/hub. The round top of the balljoints fit very snugly into the hub recesses, so there is no worry about movement/play in them. This was just discussed in another thread either here or on MR2oc. Rodeo Jones11-18-2015, 05:39 PMGot a private msg from rat2mr2 on this:

"You are looking for the part # 43330-19036. Toyota discontinued this part so it is very hard to find a new one. Have you compared the new 43330-19037? I'm pretty sure you can interchange them if you have the correct hardware."

So yea, slightly confusing but not really. Catmando11-18-2015, 11:27 PMRodeo you can use the MoogK9352 ball joints but you will need to reuse the bolts from your old ball joints as the new bolts are larger thread size.
I just installed mine and they fit fine Powered by vBulletin® Version 4.2.5 Copyright © 2026 vBulletin Solutions Inc. All rights reserved.
